FAQs

Questions people actually ask

If the answer you need is not here, call or email — or ask on your tour.

Joining and membership

Who can join BoxCamp?

Anyone. Complete beginners, juniors, parents, shift workers, recreational members, amateur boxers and professional fighters all train here. You do not need any previous boxing experience.

Can I try the gym before joining?

Yes — book a tour. You will meet a coach, walk through the facility and learn how the 24/7 membership model works. There is no pressure to join on the spot.

What memberships are available?

Three: Junior, Senior and the Bonding Bundle. Each is available on a six-month term or on flexible terms, with the six-month option $10 a week cheaper. Weekly rates (six-month/flexible): Junior $40/$50, Senior $50/$60, Bonding Bundle $65/$75.

What is the Bonding Bundle?

A single membership covering one parent and one junior member, so you can train alongside your child.

What are the membership terms?

6-Month Memberships: Your membership has a minimum 6-month commitment. After the initial 6 months, your membership continues on a weekly basis until you choose to cancel. 30 days’ notice is required to cancel. Flexible Memberships: There is no minimum commitment period. You can cancel at any time by providing 30 days’ notice. Your weekly membership payments continue during the 30-day notice period. Casual Training: No membership or cancellation notice required. $25 per session.

Can I train without a membership?

Yes. Casual training is $25 per session, with no membership and no cancellation notice required.

Do I need my own boxing equipment?

New members purchase an access tag and any required boxing equipment when they join. What you need depends on how you plan to train, so a coach will go through it with you on your tour.

How training works

Is BoxCamp class-based?

No. BoxCamp runs a 24/7 membership model rather than scheduled classes. There is nothing to book into — you train when it suits you.

What are coached hours?

Advertised periods when a BoxCamp coach is on the gym floor to provide shared guidance, technical advice, equipment support and help with training structure. They are published on the weekly coaching roster, which is subject to change.

Is floor coaching included in membership?

Yes. Coaching support during advertised coached hours is included in every membership. That is shared floor coaching, not dedicated one-on-one Personal Training.

Can I train outside coached hours?

Yes. Members have 24/7 access and can train independently at any time.

Is the gym staffed 24 hours?

No. Members have access 24 hours a day, but a coach is only on the floor during advertised coached hours. Access and staffing are two different things.

Do I have to compete?

No. Most members train for fitness, confidence and enjoyment and never compete. The competitive pathway is there if you want it, and nobody will push you towards it.

Personal Training

Is Personal Training available to non-members?

Yes. Personal Training is available to both members and non-members. Non-members pay a higher rate.

Can I do Personal Training with a friend?

Yes. Sessions run 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 or 1:4 with one coach. Group rates are the total price of the session, not per person — split it between you however you like.

How much does Personal Training cost?

1:1 — members $50 for 30 minutes and $100 for 60; non-members $65 and $120. 1:2 — members $75 for 30 minutes and $150 for 60; non-members $95 and $180. 1:3 — members $100 for 30 minutes and $200 for 60; non-members $125 and $240. 1:4 — members $120 for 30 minutes and $240 for 60; non-members $150 and $290. Personal Training is booked and paid for separately from membership, and paid at the gym after the session.

Can I choose my coach?

Yes. Browse the Personal Training team, read about each coach’s experience and coaching style, and book with whoever suits you. If you are not sure, call the gym and we will match you with the right person.

Juniors, wellbeing and support

Can children join?

Yes. Juniors aged 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian who is also a current BoxCamp member. Juniors aged 13 to 17 may train independently after guardian consent, an induction and demonstration of safe, responsible gym use.

Is BoxCamp suitable for someone experiencing bullying or low confidence?

Boxing training can be a positive outlet where young people build fitness, discipline, confidence and resilience in a structured environment, around coaches who encourage respect and self-control. BoxCamp does not replace school intervention, counselling or specialised professional support where bullying is serious or ongoing.

Can people with additional support needs join?

Yes. Where reasonably possible, coaches can adjust instructions, break skills into manageable steps and provide a calm, predictable training environment. Please raise any relevant support needs on your tour so we can work out what is available.

Does BoxCamp provide formal behaviour support services?

No. Formal NDIS behaviour support services are delivered separately through Behaviour Lane and are not part of BoxCamp membership or coaching.

Is BoxCamp an NDIS provider?

No. BoxCamp is a boxing and performance gym. It is not an NDIS provider.
